Prey? As in hunting a prey?

There's NOTHING near me. That's why I use Amazon for so much.

BTW, they sell used movies which could very well be illegal when the
Supreme Court rules on the issue later this term.

The question that has been languishing around is whether you can
resell copyrighted material. (Be it software, dvds, etc.)
Some contend that you can't.

It should be pointed out that when you buy software, DVDs, etc. you're
not buying the software/DVD/etc. you're buying a liscense to use it.
Some publishers prohbit the buyer from reselling the liscense.

So if you have a new version of Excel, can you sell the old
version at a yard sale? Some contend you can't. Next time
you install software read that liscense agreement you click yes
on without reading. Some of those prohibit you from reselling
the liscense.

I seen it in a Target store. It is also on Turner Classic Movies if you
have one of those epensive cable packages.

If you have seen all of the episodes, it's not a great movie.

Amazon has both movies on DVD and Blu-ray versions. I'm sure Deep
Discount does too.

I get TCM on basic cable.

I've seen all the episodes at least twice, and I think it's a good
movie. Not a great one and not a bad one. It's an interesting take on
the Barnabas story. I think I like it more than the Tim Burton version.
At least it had many of the original cast. And, as a horror fan, I am
not bothered by the amped up violence and gore.

I've seen every episode of DS several times now and I think
HODS and NODS both suck. I also enjoyed Tim Burnton's take
on DS.

Eh, I'll probably wait till there's a good sale and get HODS on Blu-ray,
but I'm not spending a penny on NODS until they release a restored
version of the director's cut. I think they are an important part of the
DS universe, whether one personally likes them or not. They starred the
original stars, were directed by the creator, written by a regular
writer (IIRC). The original wasn't a comedy. Burton's version had too
much comedy for my taste. I'll probably watch it again one day, but I
will rent, not buy.

The root canal i had last year is an important part of my universe
but would not want to relive it. The same goes with HODS and
NODS.

Heh. I agree that HODS suffers by comparison to the series. I haven't yet seen N.

If you didn't like H, don't bother with N. It suffers from both having
little to do with the series AND having been butchered by the studio,
rendering it an incoherent mess.

HODS is good, but I think its main problem is making Barnabas far less
nuanced and human than in the series, much more of a one-note bad guy,
hardly the sympathetic character we knew and loved. Strange that they
would take the most beloved, well-known character and change him so
dramatically. Still, it's a lot of fun and a big part of the DS
universe, so I can overlook its faults :)

As for NODS, I think it plays best as a non-DS project with a lot of
cool DS stars just happening to appear in it <g>, and enjoyed for the
vague, atmospheric spookiness over the non-existant substance.

I saw it in the theatre when it was new, and as a fan of the TV series it was quite a thrill to see the story on the big screen, as a "big budget" movie.
