I have to admit, I'm really starting to enjoy this series. I just
have a few observations at this point.

I'm glad Willy wasn't killed, because I like the character. I'm just
worried that we've seen the last of him. So, I'll ask everyone,
without giving me any details, do we see Willy Loomis again, yes or
no?

Have you noticed that Banabus is very innefective at actually killing
people? At various times in this set he has planned to kill David,
Maggie, and Willy, and yet they are all still alive (so far anyway,
since I don't know what happens later).

People are finally cluing in that Sarah is a ghost. I suppose it was
easy for me, knowing I was watching a show with "horror" elements, but
considering David's earlier meetings with Josette, it took him ana
mazingly long time to realize--especially when she managed to enter
the locked chamber in the cemetary to save him.

And speaking of David, was I supposed to be terrified at the end of
the last episode when the bat attacked him? I'm sorry, I know the
show had a low budget, but I was just laughing! And in the middle of
that sequence you can see the shadow of a pole on the back wall, which
was either the boom microphone or the pole that the bat was dangling
from.

Just an observation, but does Roger have a stick or something rammed
up his...well, never mind.

Elizabeth, and especially Carolyn were hardly on this set at all. Do
they have more to do later on?

I don't think I like the Julia Hoffman character at all. But maybe
that's just me.

It is. She'll probably grow on you.

Alot of that comes down it being a day time show, the cencors/
network would not have tolerated that much violence. It was on
during the day, was not on HBO, and alot of kids were watching.

Also the budget for show was virtually zero..

The show didn't have a low budget, it had an effective budget of zero.

Julia Hoffman was an accident. It was supposed to be a male
character.

See him? We won't be able to get rid of him!

Joan Bennett must have had a great agent. She got to sit out of lot of
episodes, and there were a couple of story arcs in which she spent a
good portion of the time just lying in a prone position.

Lets get real here...............
she probably got to sit out those episodes so they didn't have to pay
her those days.

I believe at various times the characters of Roger, Willie and Elizabeth
disappeared temporarily because the actors wanted to appear in a play
somewhere. And Jonathan Frid wanted a vacation.

Wasn't there also a period of time where the major actors were
abscent from the show to make both Dark Shadows movies?

Yes. I think the story where Barnabas was trapped in a coffin and
William Loomis was interviewing him was during the first movie. Maybe
the second one was filmed during the John Yeager story?

I think both of those occurred at the same time during the parallel time
storyline.

Just the first one. The second was filmed after the series ended. And
David Selby missed the last few episodes because of appendicitis.
