# House of Dark Shadows (1970) (uncredited) .... Deputy
# "Dark Shadows" .... Hand of Sheriff Davenport (1 episode, 1970)
- Episode #1.938 (1970) TV episode .... Hand of Sheriff Davenport

How come he gets credited for his hand but Thing from Addams family
doesn't?

Who is George DiCenzo and what character did he play on DS? Was it
sheriff davenport? Which sheriff. The first or second?

Correction: Hand of Sheriff Davenport, not Patterson. Right or left hand
is open to research.

He played a deputy on "House of Dark Shadows."

Oh so there were two sheriffs. Was there a real Sheriff Davenport
with a body? Ditto Patterson.

George DiCenzo was a production assistant on Dark Shadows, then went
into acting. He played the hand of Sheriff Patterson, and I am sure it
was the last Patterson, if not the next to last, but no matter, because
Mr. DiCenzo was just playing his hand, a basically 'coming out of a
grave' type of story. The hand didn't talk, just looked desperate to get
out of the grave, which is its right in such grave circumstances.

Thing was usually Ted Cassidy's hand, which is why Thing rarely
appeared in a scene with Lurch. If necessary, John Astin or Jackie
Coogan would fill in for Thing.

You'd think John Astin's hand would be half the size of Ted's. :)

I had no idea there was a Cindy Lauper / Dark Shadows connection.
