I don't like the show for several reasons:
1. It's an X files rip off.
2. It's on the WB (CW) and i've found over the years that
the WB (CW) is too small to really do a show right.

I think WB does a surprisingly good job on the show for a small company

Yep, I've been a fan of Supernatural for a long time now, Vince. I
rent the dvds now, but have the first 3 seasons on dvd. I also watch
the show weekly now that the "local" WB affiliate actually boosted
their power enough to broadcast out into the boonies where I reside
LOL! It's nice to rent the episodes on dvd and see them without
commercial interruption, though. I wish John Winchester hadn't been
killed off, but I know the actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan wanted to do
other shows and movies. I really like Jim Beaver as Sam and Dean's
surrogate father, Bobby. It was nice to see 2 LOST alums Mark
Pellegrino and Titus Welliver on the show last season as Lucifer and
War. Also, Mark Sheppard is a great addition to the show as the demon
Crowley who took over Hell after Lucifer was dispensed with. Misha
Collins is great as the angel Castiel, also. To me, it's a good show
and not a rip-off of anything.
It's its own creature... Muahahahahahaha!

I have to say that while I like all the shows, the angel vs demns battle
secnario wasn't as good as the earlier seasons, where there wasn't
necessarily a connected theme

But they've had some incredibly good episodes. A couiple of my favorites
are the one where they were assistants on a movie set, and the one where
the ghost of a girl eventaully killed her aged, stroked-out sister so
they could be together.

It's a combination of x files, kolchak, and friday 13th rolled into one,
so for me it's a great show.

Check out the newsgroup <alt.tv.supernatural>; it's pretty active.
Much of the discussion is also crossposted to <rec.arts.sf.tv> and,
to a lesser extent, <rec.arts.tv>.

Yep. I became acquainted with it during its third season and it has
been one of my must-see shows since. The new story arc is intriguing,
but I think I'm partial to the simple monster-of-the-week shows.
