Please tell me when the new Dark Shadows movie is release it won't be
in 3D?

I for one hate 3D, especially where some theaters in the US of A
charge in excess of $20 to see a 3D film. An that doesn't include
the 3D glasses.

Add to that more than half the adults who see 3D movies get
naushish.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Tim Burton said the DS movie would
NOT be in 3D.

I haven't heard anything to indicate that it IS in 3D. Besides, don't
your theaters show movies in both 3D and 2D? I live in a small town, and
the 1 theater that shows in 3D also always shows the same movies flat in
a different auditorium.

We live in a small town too, with just one 6-screen theatre. Ours
normally alternates between 2D and 3D screenings throughout the day in
the same auditorium.

Now I live near a big city and most of the movies are in 3D only.
No alternative.

Harry Potter was in 3D and non 3D, most others are not.
I'd say 9 out of ten movies didn't have a non 3D alternative.

I've tried wearing prescription glasses with 3D glasses, and it does,
indeed, suck. Fortunately, I only just barely need the specs, so I can
watch a movie without them. You can buy nice 3D glasses. I wonder if
anyone makes clip-on versions for those who wear regular glasses.

Probably not. Bear in mind the newest 3D glasses cost in the $300
neighborhood.

That is why some theaters charge $20+ for a 3D movie.
Those glasses plus the purchase of 3D projection equipment..

And the worst part of it.............
Wall Street analysts are predicting 3D will be dead after not too
long, since Hollywood is using it in so many crappy movies.

Are you thinking of active glasses for home TVs? Because Amazon has a
pair of RealD compatible polarized ones for four bucks.

After seeing something similar to this in the new Popular Science, I
returned to Amazon, and found these clipon models for $4.

I wear coke bottle glasses, but the set I tried on actually wasn't bad
going over them
