Yup it is but it is the revival series not the original TV show. I
really liked the TV show. Other incarnations of the show were not
nearly as appealing. I fear the rumored movie that is in the works
will not be very good at all as the producers feel they can probably
throw anything out there for a story that already has a built in fan
base. We shall see what the end result will be. My bet is on the
movie sucking really bad.

IMHO, since Depp and Burton are both longtime DS fans, they likely have
a strong motivation to stay true, if not to every single plot point, at
least to the spirit of it, as well as to the characters. It isn't just
some disinterested director who just knows DS by reputation, and wants
to cash in on its popularity.

IMHO, since Depp and Burton are both longtime DS fans, they likely have
a strong motivation to stay true, if not to every single plot point, at
least to the spirit of it, as well as to the characters.  It isn't just
some disinterested director who just knows DS by reputation, and wants
to cash in on its popularity.

I saw the movie Dillinger and it was not great. I hope that they get
things together better if they film DS.

I hope you are correct but fear that you are not. Burton tends to want
to put his on stamp on things. That would lead me to believe it will
be a totally different story and idea than what we are use to
