Maybe I'm wrong, but I would assume that KLS will likely do a tribute
book about Jonathan, his life and career. It would certainly be a
natural choice for a Pomegranate Press DS book, and the fans would love
it.

I know it's probably too early, but has anyone heard any talk along
these lines yet? It would be a wonderful book, and I'll be first in
line to get my copy!

It may be a bit early for KLS to try to profit from Frid's death, but I
can see it happening after a respectful time. I would definitely buy one
(as I have most of their DS books).

Can we wait until he is in the ground before speculating on this?

Considering he died 10 days ago, it's a safe bet that he's in the ground.

I apologize if any disrespect was inferred - certainly none was meant,
as I have always had the highest admiration for him. A book by KLS,
eventually, just seemed like a lovely idea for a tribute.

I do, too. I remember how exciting it was when her first one, Scrapbook
Memories, first came out and I rushed out to get a copy! Along with
that one, I've purchased most of the others that have come out. Don't
have a complete list, but I don't have the book on the revival series or
the Movie book, but I think just about everything else.

Not necessarily. Considering it wasn't released to the public for many
days he may not yet be in the ground.

What does public knowledge have to do with burial?

Maybe they had preparations they had to do prior to
burial/release of the death?

Maybe Jonathan Frid put in his will that it not be
annonced until x days later?

Do we even know for a fact that he has been buried?

Especially in the world of Dark Shadows.

When the news is released to the public has nothing to do with it. In
the west, it is tradition to bury the dead within 3 days of their death.
I think it far likely that he's been buried (or cremated, or whatever)
by this point. Have you considered the possibility that the news wasn't
released till after the funeral so it wouldn't be inundated with fans?
Maybe the family just wants a little privacy.

Not necessarily. There have been deaths in this part of the US of A
where the wake/funeral are as much as a week or more after the
death.

It could be months later if the medical examiner gets involved.

The delay also could be because it was in Canada.

Not necessarily. Depends on whether they have to wait for
some arrangements to be made, family members to arrive,

No i'm saying maybe they had people who had to wait for internaiional
travel arrengments to be completed.

Maybe there were delays making contact to those who were out of
country.
