There is a big stink now about movie quality for 3D movies in this
part of the US of A.

When you see a 3D movie the movie should be bright, the colors
vivid. If the film is dark and not colurful, complain loudly to the
theater management.

You've got a theater that is too lazy to remove the 2D lense
and replace it with a 3D lense.

Demand that they either fix the problem or refund your money.

Tthis problem has been reported in a number of newspapers,
and has been going on for more than a year.

Citation? I know 3D movies are ALWAYS darker than 2D movies because each
eye only gets about half as much light as normal because 3D glasses
filter out half the image that each eye sees.

I have read stories that using 3D lenses on 2D films makes THEM darker:

Perhaps you've confused the issue?

My undrstanding from my projection experts is that sony 3d projectors
are not biright enough in their design.
.
A google search will list many newspaper articles on this over the
last year and a half.

Critics have benn complaining about this much of that last year and
a half.

Also at $12.00 for a movie that movie should be bright and colorful.
In this part of the US of A movies are $12.00

I still think you have it backward, as the article *I* cited shows.
Don't ask me to to do Google search to backup your statement. Provide a
citation.

The theater should be using a 3D lense on 3D movies, a 2D lense
on 2d moives.

They should never mix the two.

There's no 'e' on lens.
