How many here are going to see Dark Shadows at the midnight show
tonight?

Not I. I'm waiting for more reviews. So far, it's not sounding like
something I'm going to put the time, effort and money into. At this
point, I'm expecting to wait for it to come to Netflix.

Our theatre isn't getting a midnight showing, but I am planning to go to
an early afternoon matinee tomorrow.

I hope everyone enjoys! I read the " aintitcool.com " review (I
almost never agree, anyway) and the reviewer said old time fans will
like, but its too ploddy and has swashes of humor that pull you out.
But at its core its not a comedy. Just too slow for people used to
action and gore...

I think i read that same review. One review i read sounded like it was
written by a 15 year old so i put absolutely no credence in that one
whatsoever. I hardly ever let a review decide for me. As it is- my
movie collection has its share of classics and greats as well as what
many would consider garbage that i love LOL. So- reviews? pfft.

At this point, I could have posted the exact same thing.

There is still a chance I will see this in theaters but its going to
take a lot of positive reviews to change my mind at this point. This
newsgroup is pretty active as far as usenet goes these days, so
hopefully the reviews will start pouring in.

newsgroup is pretty active as far as usenet goes these days, so
hopefully the reviews will start pouring in.

It's been great seeing so much activity on the group. I remember the old
days, when DS on on Sci-Fi and there was lots of discussion here. I,
too, am eager to read the DS fan reviews.

Got tix for me and my guy for tomorrow afternoon. Honestly, i have not
been to a movie theatre in well over a decade. So, i figured this
might be a good time to get back in the water- so to speak.. being as-
for better or worse.. we have all been waiting for this to happen for
ages. There are other things i want to see this summer so i figure i
should just start with this. Fingers crossed it's at least a fun
watch.
