quentin's room question

In my quest to replicate Quentin's room--or at least try to come as
close as I can--I notice that there seems to be something under a glass
dome on a table behind the phonograph. Does anyone know what this is? A
ship model? Stock ticker? What?

If so, cool! That, I can duplicate easily! A stock ticker would be
harder...

I believe it was a stock ticker... although I shall search my tapes to be
absolutely sure.

Hello Vince, after viewing a very good episode in which Quentin and David
stand close by it, I am very glad to let you know that Mike was very
correct, the object under the large glass dome is indeed a nautical vessel,
a boat, a small brown boat with a white cabin top and not the stock ticker I
believed it to be. I know you will be pleased, I hope you will share a
photo of your replica when you've completed it. Glad to be of assistance,
your friend Sarah.

Thanx for that! My first thought was that it would be hard to find a
boat like that compared to a sailing ship, but then I recalled that I
have a prop from the onld GHOST & MRS MUIR series that looks a little
like that.

Anyone else remember that show and movie? I loved them both!

That was a great show, but how could it not be with Hope Lange, Charles
Nelson Reilly and Edward Mulhare as the captain! Imagine if such talent
were available for a television series today!

I vote for a double-feature of "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" and "The Ghost
and Mr. Chicken"! :)

I remember the show. I don't remember much about it, but I do remember
enjoying it and thinking what a brave woman Mrs. Muir was to approach
that ghost all the time.

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir was a television show? I have watched the movie
with Rex Harrison and Gene Tierney, and Natalie Wood. I did not know there
was a show involved.

Oh, you must see it ASAP! It was an oscar winner and one of the best
movies ever made. Could be my favorite movie of all time. Very sad,
though

I remember that when the show moved to ABC from NBC, and ABC had its
Saturday Morning Preview special, it featured the Ghost & Mrs. Muir,
but Barnabas made an appearance, referring to his friend, Captain
Gregg.

Say what? You mean that Jonathan Frid was on a preview special? I never
saw it!

I also don't remember the series changing networks. Did it really do
that?

The Ghost And Mrs Muir jumped from NBC to ABC in September of 1969. On
NBC, it had been aired opposite My Three Sons and Lawrence Welk.
