Well, today is the day the series box set was released. Did anyone
pre-order it and get it? Would love to hear what it's like!

I see the original edition is sold out (at least on Amazon) and you have
to go to another page for the second edition to pre-order it (coming out
in, I think, June or July). Supposed to be the same, except it's not a
numbered limited edition, and no autographed postcard included.

The new pre-order price is higher again. Hopefully it will go back down
as the release date for the new edition gets closer. Glad it will still
be available.

I would have SO gotten it if i were not allready 13 volumes invested
in the original dvd release. I'm still n Vol. 9 but i have up to 13,
which i look forward to geting to. Some of the Magda/Quentin stuff is
in that volume among other favorites.
If it were not for that tho.. .i'd have been thriiled to get the box
set. I read on a fanpage on Facebook someone saying that it is
beutifully done- packaging wise. Color me jealous! lol

I would have trouble storing that fancy box set. It's really impractical.
I have collected all of the volumes including The Beginnings. I watched
them all. In the Winter when life was dull, Dark Shadow DVDs became an
addiction.

Hmmm, I don't know... I would think it would take up a whole lot less
space than all the individual box sets. Now, I can see where if you
decided to have a DS marathon of several discs, a whole storyline, or
whatever, that having to take the box off the shelf and take out a new
disc and put the old one back in every time you needed to change it
might be a bit of a hassle. But in that case, I'd probably use an old
multi-disc case and put in the discs I was planning to watch, then
return them to the main box when my marathon was over. Or just leave
the box out on the coffee table for easy access.

And from the pictures, it looks like, if you wanted to, you could just
take out all the inner boxes and line them up on the shelf, and stash
the outer coffin box somewhere.

In a secret room? Or in a closet of doom?
