Could we loose the slamming of Twilight?
You don't have to like Twilight, but is it necessary to slam it?
Reminds me of the many science fiction fans who slammed us
Trek fans all those years ago.

I'm a Twilight fan, and I don't mind a little good-natured ribbing about
the books/movies, I don't take it personally. Like the Star Trek thing,
anything that gains huge popularity will garner certain blind negativity
(as opposed to honest criticism. which is fine, whether I agree or not),
but criticism which seems to come JUST because something is uber
popular, as if it can't possibly be good if millions of people love it.
Not that it automatically makes it good, but it doesn't make it bad,
either.

If someone isn't into Twilight (or Star Trek, or DS), that's fine, to
each his/her own. The glitter remark didn't bother me at all, I smiled
:) But it isn't quite so funny when people get irrationally nasty, to
the point of questioning the intelligence or taste of the fans.
