I've heard some positive things about "Suspiria," which featured Joan
Bennett, but I've never watched it. Well, I've seen bits and pieces
here and there, but never the whole thing.

Is it actually good, or is it mainly of interest to DS fans because of
Joan's presence? How does it compare to, say Frid's "Seizure"? If
it's available on DVD, I may have to put it in our Netflix queue to
check it out.

A bit of trivia: "Suspiria"s Jessica Harper starred in "Shock
Treatment," the sequel to "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." She played
Janet, the character portrayed by Susan Sarandon in the original.

Arthouse horror fans love it. I'm a big horror fan, but I don't love it.
Argento's movies are full of very graphic violence, and don't tend to
make much sense. If DS is the only horror you enjoy, then you probably
want to skip "Susperia."

Kishin makes a good point. If you're renting for DS connection then
don't worry with it.
I, however, do LOVE "Suspiria". It is quite graphic... VERY in places.
The dialog is all dubbed, as is Argento's style, so that may bug some
people. But visually.. som really fantastic stuff going on in that
movie. Also the score will give you chills alone. The first 15 minutes
is one of the most intense horror movie opening sequences i've ever
seen. It was one of (if not THE) last movies films with an actual
Technicolor camera, so the colors really pop.. especially the dvd.
If you like horror flicks at all- DO rent it. It's a horror staple.
But again as Kishin said.. it's quite graphic. If you don't like
horror in general, pass.
Cheers, Diva!
