NOBODY is a worse actress than Grayson Hall!!!

Grayson Hall was a horrible actress. I couldn't stand watching her on Dark Shadows. She did the same thing all the time...she'd squint her eyes, purse her lips and look into the distance. It was as if she didn't know any other acting technique but that one. You always knew when she was lying because she couldn't. Absolutely horrible.

And for that matter, Donna McKechnie won a Tony Award (although she is admittedly not fully experienced by the time of DS).

My opinion of Grayson Hall has improved in the last 20 years too. Watching her contorted facial expressions is one of the highlights of the show.

And Addison Powell (Dr. Lang) is FANTASTIC as a mad scientist (in an MST3K kind of way).

One guy on my hit list has always been Anthony George, not because he was a bad actor, but because he was terribly miscast as Burke Devlin.

Yes, I agree with you on the miscasting of Anthony George as Devlin. Mitch Ryan was the typical tough guy character that Devlin was supposed to be. He had the look, the voice and the build. All of a sudden he's gone and this much smaller, soft-spoken nice guy Anthony George takes over. It was way too drastic a change.

I also agree with you about Addison Powell, but I haven't changed my opinion of Grayson Hall. There were so many times I wanted Barnabas to kill her because she was a smug, arrogant know-it-all and the facial expression drove me crazy.
